Pat McCrory's Big Adventure
The seven-term Charlotte mayor today filed a statement of organization with the NC Board of Elections signaling his intention to run for governor. And why wouldn't he? McCrory has had months to take a good look at the other three Republican candidates, and no doubt figures he can coast to the Party of Greed nomination.
At least three of the seven Democrats on council and all four Republicans say they support him running.
True to form for Ms. Victoria Cherie, the reporter assigned to suck up to cover McCrory, the story includes the bizarre statement from her earlier piece about four city council Democrats who "support him running." I guess we'll get the same even-handed reporting on McCrory's campaign from the Observer as we've come to expect from the N&O on (fill in your own blank). Sheesh. This is going to be a long primary season.

and you believe?
and you believe everything you read?

Boy oh boy you are one tough cookie
And no, I don't believe everything I read. In fact, I don't think this post even remotely addresses anything I believe.
Although now that I think of it, I suppose I believe someone working for McCrory probably filed some paperwork. Are you saying you don't believe that?
Do good. Be nice. Have fun.
just picking
I had a chance to talk to some Republicans from down east this past weekend and the subject came around to Myers Park Pat. One of them said he would never vote for MPP because of the way MPP seems to run roughshod over the common people.
I heard someone say that we have three political partys in Charlotte: The Dems, the Repubs and the Chamber of Commerce. The COC runs things here in Charlotte and MPP is the head of that party.

Coach Art Pope makes Bench change in 4 th quarter? Sends Pat in?

No doubt " Exxon" John Hood rush down to the board of elections in a pink panther uniform and file Pat's paperwork.
Looks like Coach Art Pope has bench Sponge Bob and slipped 3 pointer Pat in at the last moment to save the Day....
He's also rumored to have
reserved something somewhere in his hometown that might be a spot where he could possibly announce his run for governor and it isn't in Mecklenburg Co.....so he very possibly might be sort of distancing himself somewhat from his adopted county.....but that's only a rumored possibility.

Are you sure about that?
I would say that there is a vague chance of a remote possibility that I just might be pulling your leg ever so slightly.
Of course you could, or could not, be doing something like that yourself.

It's clearly a not-so-distinct possibility
Maybe.......
Actually, I think I might have read it in the Under the Dome blog. It's all a blurrrrr

I know Victoria Cherie personally
and she's no suck up.
Don't confuse your own interpretations of the situation with her coverage.

A more appropriate caution might be to readers of the Charlotte Observer, who should be forgiven if they confuse the words "support him running" with the words "support him running."
